About

Marc Davis Motorsports was founded in 1996 by Marc's late father, Harry Davis. Marc brings decades of racing experience to the team, having competed across the full spectrum of American stock car racing — from legends cars and late models to ARCA and NASCAR.
As a teenager, Marc earned national attention after signing a coveted development deal with Joe Gibbs Racing — one of NASCAR’s premier organizations. That opportunity fast-tracked his rise through the ranks, providing invaluable seat time and exposure. He later fielded his own race team in select NASCAR national series events, demonstrating both talent and tenacity on and off the track.
Beyond the driver’s seat, Marc has played a pivotal role in team development and operations. He was instrumental in building Alex Bowman Racing during its early stages, contributing strategic insight into management, logistics, and infrastructure. His firsthand understanding of high-level competition has made him a trusted resource in both competitive and organizational roles.
Today, Marc devotes his energy to developing the next generation of racers. Through Marc Davis Motorsports, he’s deeply involved in driver coaching, spotting, and running his own race team for limited appearances. Whether mentoring young talent or returning to competition, Marc remains dedicated to the sport and its future.
